Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria

Site Map Investigators Log-in

Inclusion/exclusion criteria are those factors which allow some people to participate in a clinical study and disallow others. These criteria are based in such factors as age, gender, the type and stage of a disease, previous treatment history, and other medical conditions. They are different for each study. They help produce reliable results so that researchers will be able to answer the questions that they plan to study.
